Application Process of Malaysia My Second Home

Step 1 Registration

The first step is to register your interest in Malaysia My Second Home program. This will allow us to present our services to you, understand you better and also allow you to ask whatever questions that you have to one of our customer service representative.

Step 2 Exploratory Trip (optional)

The second step for someone who is not familiar enough with Malaysia is to make an exploratory trip to Malaysia. Aubella has put together several packages for Kuala Lumpur and Penang for our clients to explore Malaysia. If you feel that you know very well about living in Malaysia, you can opt to skip to step 3.

Step 3 Preparation of MM2H Application

After you are satisfied that Malaysia is the place for you, we can then assist you to prepare an application for Malaysia My Second Home. The process starts by you paying us a retainer fee, and then Aubella arranged all the forms to be filled with your details by you sending over the details over email. After the forms and letters are completed, Aubella then courier to you the whole set, as well as bank account opening forms and insurance forms, if necessary.

Step 4 Submission of MM2H Application

After you verified the information and signed on all the forms and letters, Aubella will then arrange a courier to pick up from you these documents as well as your supporting documents such as photocopies of the whole set of passport, marriage certificates, birth certificates etc. You will then need to pay Aubella our professional fee in handling your MM2H application. Upon receipt of your payment, Aubella will then officially lodge the application to the Malaysian Government. Upon receiving a submission receipt from the government, Aubella will then emailed to you a copy.

Step 5 Conditional Approval of MM2H Application

Usually between 6 weeks to 3 months after the submission, you will be issued a conditional approval for your MM2H application. We will then prepare for you a list of cost and disbursement that has incurred and about to incur, including the bank deposit to open your bank account, premium for medical insurance etc. After receiving payment from you for these cost & disbursement, we will then arrange your bank account to be open, and your bank account number will be emailed to you. Your medical insurance will also be lodged and paid.

Before you come to Malaysia for endorsement, you will need to remit USD 90,000 to your own bank account in Malaysia if MYR 300,000 is the amount you need to deposit as MM2H deposit, or USD 45,000 if MYR 150,000 is the requirement. The respective bank will then issued a fixed deposit certificate for you in this regards after receiving the fund from you. All these bank documents will be collected by you in a bank branch that is convenient to you during your endorsement visit to Malaysia.

In the unlikely event that your application is rejected, we will then lodge an appeal and furnish additional documents as requested by the government. If the appeal was rejected again, you will be refunded all the fees except MYR 500 and cost incurred thus far.

Step 6 Endorsement Trip

Depending on where the conditional approval is issued from, you will need to make a visit to the immigration department for an official endorsement trip. In certain cases a special visa will be issued to you for you to come to Malaysia for this purpose, depending on which country you are from. If you do not travel to Malaysia using this special visa, you will be charged an additional visa fee of between MYR 500 to MYR 550 per person.

You can choose to take up the standard endorsement trip arrangement Aubella has put up, or make your own arrangement with Aubella. Once you are in Malaysia and are ready for endorsement, Aubella will first bring you to attend a simple medical examination session, collect the fixed deposit certificates from a bank branch, follow by a trip to the immigration office. After paying the government visa fee, you will then be officially a Malaysia My Second Home participant.
